35 weeks today! Last weekend alone for the rest of our lives

WOW, we have hit 35 weeks today. I feel like we are at about 1 year. The boys seem to be growing so much my skin hurts and my stomach is so tight. Not very comfortable. Well, I sleep in 1 hour intervals (need to get used to this) so it will be nice to have the c-section and get them off of my organs and my back, I am sure the relief will be wonderful. Once we all get through the c-section this Wednesday AM, my mother will update the blog as I will be completely be out on pain medication and resting for at least 24+ hours. We will add pictures later.

Getting anxious and nervous, but I am told the surgery is pretty quick and I have read it is comparable to having your tonsils removed (it is done that much). It also hit me last night that this is the last weekend my husband and I have together alone for the rest of our lives. We are trying to make the most of the next few days. Well, I am pretty tired right now and can't wait to see the little ones. It will be a relief once everyone is through the surgery and we know how everyone is doing.

Wish us luck for an uneventful c-section and birthday this next Wednesday, August 1st.

Please keep the comments coming, they help me get through each day.

Thank you for all of the comments

Hi everyone who posted comments. Thank you so much for taking the time to write, your comments really help me get through this pregnancy. I don't know how I would do this without the support. Please keep the comments and prayers coming for our soon to be family. We are getting so close. I can't believe Jeff and I will be parents in 9 days. The countdown begins.

34 weeks today!

We are 34 weeks today. We are so close to our c-section date of August 1st. Each day is getting harder because the babies are packing on the weight. I don't know how much longer my uterus and rest of body can handle this. I am exhausted and trying to keep a positive attitute, but I have to tell you, this has got to be the hardest thing I have ever done (physically and mentally). We are taking it day by day, but hoping to make it to August 1st. Jeff and I realized that August 1st was the first day we met and how special it would be to have our little guys on the same day. The boys are really active and kept me up for most of the night last night. I guess this is what we have to look forward to until they are on a schedule. I can't wait to meet them and say happy birthday.

Pray for us that we make it to August 1st.

Another day in Paradise......

Hi there,
Taking each day at a time, we are at week 33 and 3 days, and counting. Nik is taking it easy today, so I am getting a lesson on blog updating......high tech! All is well and Nik looks great. I think she is more relaxed being here to avoid the chaos of driving to the hospital. Babies have seemed to settle in too. We are able to grab a wheelchair each day and take a ride out in the sun. The "Craft " lady came by and set us up with some frames and paint so we are making some great things. Amazing, Nik is actually quite crafty!

I can't believe that in only 2 weeks and 1 day we will have the 3 little miracles in our lives. I can't wait to see their little faces and give them all "welcome to the world" kisses......Thanks for your support. It is always great to hear from everyone.

Take care,
"Grandma in Training"

We made it to 33 weeks!!!

Well after spending the last 4 days in the hospital, the contractions have slowed down, but the babies haven't. James is working his way down low onto her bladder and Nicole has to go the bathroom all the time. Mom is doing great with the benefit of drugs!!! We are still shooting for an August 1st delivery, but we are taking it day by day. Keep the comments coming.---Jeff

Update from last doctor's visit (32 weeks) - in the hospital

Went to the doctors yesterday and the boys are growing. The identicals are 3lbs9oz and 4lbs7oz (This is the only time we have seen a change in the weights. The docs did not seem too concerned. I guess it is pretty common with multiples). The fraternal is 4lbs5oz. Heartbeats are strong and it is extremely cramped in there. No protein or sugar in the urine.

However, when my cervix was checked, I basically had none and the doctor thought I may be dilating. Scary. Was checked into the hospital yesterday and put on a med that would slow down the contractions (no mag sulfate). It seems to be working because the nurses said it looked like I was in labor yesterday and now I am seeing about 1-2 contractions/hour. Good news so far. Received my 2 steroid shots and now I am just going 1 day at a time.

Hopefully we make it as close to 35.5 weeks as we can. We'll see, it is out of my hands now.

Wish us luck

We made it to 32 weeks - our biggest milestone!!

We have made it to 32 weeks today. Thank God. My Ob said that if we make 32 weeks with triplets we have hit a home run. I am very thankful that we have made it this far. Now our milestones are to make it through each day. I am so tired that I don't think I will make it for another 3.5 weeks. That is a very long time when each baby is growing 1 lb every two weeks now. I just now am starting to get stretch marks, it sucks but I guess this is not a normal pregnancy and it is to be expected. I am about 50 inches around and for me to about double in size in less than 5-6 months, I can't be shocked about the stretch marks.

We are just happy to have made it here. I can now relax a little knowing that they would have minimal, short term issues if they did come now. That is a great feeling. We have a doctor's appointment next Tuesday which includes a growth check. I am hoping that each of the little ones are at or over 4lbs. I will update the blog as soon as we finish with the check up.

Wish us luck.

Update from last doctor's visit (31 weeks)

We went for a quick doctors visit today to check my cervix length. I am at 3.2cm today, boys have normal heartbeats and amniotic fluid levels. Next week will be a growth check and we are hoping for 4lbs+ each. We scheduled the c-section for August 1st, so if all goes well, they will be here in about 1 month!!! We will be 35w4d on 8/1/07. Can't wait to see them, I am getting so tired and it is getting harder for me to get around. I will be ready on the morning of August 1st for sure.

Quad Swallows - Our house is full of multiples!!

We have Quad Barn Swallows ready to leave the nest any day! They were born about 3 weeks ago and they are so cute (very messy). We have been watching their growth over the last 3 weeks and they are ready to fall out of the nest as they are getting so big. You can see 3 for sure, but the 4th one is tucked away on the left. This is so appropriate since we are having triplets. This is the multiple house. We will be sad to see them go, but they will probably come back next year. I have a funny feeling that by the time they leave the nest, our little trio will be coming into the world (or soon to be). How cute.

Closing in on next milestone - 32 weeks!

We have just past 31 weeks and moving towards 32 weeks. Can't wait to hit that date and then the focus will be on week 34. It is really starting to sink in that our little ones will be here soon. Wow, what a trip! I am getting a little nervous about the c-section and the health of our boys. We never did the amnio so I am praying that everything is going to be ok. I really hope the surgery goes smoothly and we are all home soon after delivery. We go to the doctor's tomorrow and see how the cervix length is. I am hoping we are still above 3cm, but I am feeling it might be lower because I am having more pressure and it is getting harder and harder for me to get around. I will update tomorrow.

Wish me luck.
