Update from last doctor's visit (30 weeks)

We went to the doctor today and my cervix is at 3.1 cm (4 cm last week). Doctor did not seem worried but I am going to have to take it easy this week. Hopefully it will bounce back. Everyone still has a normal heartbeat and fluid levels were fine. Blood pressure was great, weight gain steady and no protein or sugar in the urine. So overall, a great visit. Next week will be another cervix check. The doctor is going to schedule the c-section next week so we will have a date to shoot for. I am counting down the days!

Until next week.....

30 weeks today! next milestone is 32!

Good news! We are at our 30 week milestone today! Whew, need to go 2 more weeks to hit our next big milestone of 32, then 34, then every day after that. Our doctor would like us to go to 36 weeks, but we will take what we can get and not jeopardize any one's health. Everyday is getting harder, all of my joints hurt (hands, back, knees, right shoulder and hips). I think it might be the weight. I have gained 40 lbs so far with the three little ones. I am sure I will gain more over the coming weeks. I am on a strict diet now from the Gestational Diabetes. So far my blood sugar has been in the normal range after meals. That is a relief, hopefully this will continue so I do not have to go on insulin.

I have been taking baths at night (98.5 degrees or less) and my belly sticks up out of the water. The boys love this time, they move around so much (rolling, kicking and punching) it is incredible to watch. The baths really help my back and my swelling, plus we can read to them while we are watching and feeling the activity. Pretty cool stuff. Everyone is fighting for space in there. It should be interesting in the next weeks as they will pack on another pound or two each.

Next week we have a cervix length check plus a quick peek at the boys. They are getting so big that it is hard to see much of anything anymore. I will post what we see next week.

Wish us luck to our next milestone - 32 weeks.

Update from last doctor's visit (29 weeks)

Went to the doctor today and had a great visit. The boys are now 3lb1oz, 3lb3oz and 3lb5oz, equal amniotic fluid and normal heartbeats. My urine was free of protein, blood pressure was good and cervix length was 3.9cm this week. I couldn't have asked for a better visit (other than to have someone say I don't have Gestational Diabetes).

Anyway, the doctor will take me to 36 weeks if there are no complications (so August 4th). WOW, another 6 weeks 4 days, I don't know if my body can handle it. If we go that far, the boys could possible go home with us. That would be fantastic!! The down side would be trying to recover from my c-section and take care of them at the same time. Thank God we have help, I don't think my husband and I would make it right after my surgery.

Well the next 2 weeks will be to check the cervix length and in 3 weeks, they will check the boys' growth again (I don't know if they will be able to see much - it is getting pretty cramped in there).

Wish us luck.

29 weeks today!

Yipee, we are at 29 weeks today and moving into 30 weeks (next milestone for us). Our growth sonogram is in 3 days and we are hoping for close to the 3lb mark for all of them. I will post our doctor's visit Tuesday night. Wish us luck.

I am getting so anxious to get the babies here. Can't wait to see them and see what they look like and how they are going to respond to my husband and I. I know we need to go much longer so everyone has a great chance of a short NICU time. Also starting to get nervous about the c-section and the entire process involved with it. I am sure by the time I am ready to deliver, I will be begging for it happen as the pain and uncomfort will be high.

I am looking forward to a good night sleep after the babies are here (maybe a couple of days anyway) and getting my body back.

Failed My 3 hour Glucose Tolerance Test!

This completely sucks. My fasting and my 2 hour glucose levels were in normal range but my 1 hour and my 3 hour were over. I am now going to speak with the Diabetes Center at the hospital and am on a strict diet from here on out, plus I am going to have to test my blood sugar multiple times per day. Hopefully the diet will help control by blood sugar so I don't have to go to insulin. Thank God I am close to delivering the babies. I guess the Gestational Diabetes clears after the kids are born.

Wish me luck.

Update from last doctor's visit (28 weeks)

Went to the doctor today for a quick visit. Cervix length looks good (4.1cm), babies heartrates and amniotic fluid is great. So, pretty much a good visit. Unfortunately by Glucose screening test came back high (over by 1 point) so I now need to do the Glucose tolerance test (3 hour test) to determine if I have Gestational Diabetes or not. I am hoping I don't, but I will deal with it if I do have it. Swelling and trips to the restroom are increasing. Fun stuff!! 7 weeks or less to go!

28 weeks today!!

We are 28 weeks today so we have hit another milestone! It is a great day and we are very happy that we have hit this milestone. We are now focused on 30 weeks, then 32 and so on. Baby steps now. Things are going as good as possible right now. I am uncomfortable and don't sleep much these days, but it will be all worth it in the end. My husband and I are getting more and more excited each week and can't wait to meet the boys! We are really looking forward to our next growth sonogram. We are praying for 3lbs each. I feel like they are 10lbs each right now. I never knew the body could stretch like this, and so fast. OUCH!! Please pray for our little ones to be at 3lbs at our next growth appointment and that we are all doing well.

Update from last doctor's visit (27 weeks)

We visited the doctor today for a cervix length check. It was 3.75cm today (down a touch from last week). No protein in my urine and my blood pressure was great. Gained about 2 lbs this week. The boys have equal amniotic fluid and their heartbeats are normal. So we had a great visit today. Next week we have another cervix check. In two weeks, we have another growth visit, let's pray for 3lbs each!

27 weeks today

We are at 27 weeks today and have 1 more week to hit the next milestone. Days are getting longer. It is getting more painful everyday and I can't imagine what I am going to feel like over the next several weeks. Ouch!! We are going to have professional pictures taken of the pregnancy tomorrow and I will try to get those posted as soon as possible. Hopefully this upcoming week will go fast.
